Explore the Suffolk Coast and Norfolk Broads

The Miller's Shed is in a beautiful part of Suffolk, with plenty to do nearby.

Walks and wild-swimming in the Waveney Valley:  There are miles of scenic walks along the quiet lanes and nearby footpaths to explore. We particularly recommend an adventure across the fields with a stop at our local pub. The Locks Inn in Geldeston is a fabulous riverside pub on the banks of the Waveney. It's best reached by foot, or by boat, and you can even work up a thirst with a swim in the river.

Norfolk Broads National Park:  Just a little further afield is the Norfolk Broads National Park. Why not make the most of the famously flat topography and take your bikes for a spin? There are a range of national cycle routes on our doorstop waiting for you to explore.

Suffolk Heritage Coast:  The breathtaking Suffolk coastline is just 25 minutes away. You'll be able to enjoy Southwold's Victorian splendour, with a range of boutique shops and cafés. From there you can cross the river Blyth to Walberswick on the rowing boat ferry. Walberswick is a seaside idyll, with a traditional village green and historic pubs. If you prefer your beaches rugged and unspoilt, Covehithe is perfect for a windswept walk. And it's dog-friendly too.
